Limiting current data were measured on an electrode support vibrating horizontally in an electrowinning cell. Four copper strip electrodes were fixed flush with the surface of the electrode support and limiting current data were obtained at those electrodes for cathodic reduction of ferricyanide ion. The limiting current data were measured varying the amplitude, frequency and width of the electrode support. The mass transfer increased with increased frequency and amplitude. Mass transfer factor was enhanced as width of the electrode support was increased. (C) 2001 Elsevier Science B.V. All rights reserved.
