Abstract:
Cadmium, cobalt, and nickel cementation was carried out in ammoniacal medium using zinc disc. The rate of cementation of cadmium was observed to increase with increase of angular velocity of the zinc disc. In the presence of copper, cobalt, and nickel the cementation rate showed improvement whereas in the presence of cadmium a negative trend was seen. In each case specific reaction constants are correlated with the nature of the cemented deposit.
