Nickel extraction studies were carried out using Acorga P-5300 extractant. Various extraction parameters were studied such as pH,concentration of ammonium salt and common anion. Nickel extraction was observed to be more favourable in chloride medium than in sulphate or nitrate media. The increase of ammonium salt concentration results in the shift of pH(0.5) to higher values due to formation of outer sphere complex. Stripping conditions were also optimised. |
