Generally mess transfer data I pressure drop data obtained in forced convection of the electrolyte are correlated as a function of flow rate and physical properties of electrolytes and geometric variables studied. However, mass transfer coefficients can be predicted from a single equation in which mass transfer coefficient and pressure drop data are interrelated This relation reduces the time of experimentation. The data are correlated by the relation Sh = c. Re(mod)x, where Sh is Sherwood number, Re-mod is modified Reynolds number end c and x are constants. (C) 1998 Elsevier Science Ltd. |
