dc.description.abstract Extraction studies of uranium(VI) with acetyl acetone (HAA) and n-caprylic acid (HR) have been carried out at different equilibrium pHs. The extracted species are proposed to be UO2(AA)(2) and UO(2)R(2)(HR)(2) on the basis of slope analysis. Synergistic effects have been studied with the binary mixture of the extractants. Salt effect on the extraction has also been carried out with NaCl, Na2SO4, CH3COONa and NaSCN salts.
