| dc.description.abstract |
Flotation column is one of the most promising type of equipments which is going to replace the existing notation cell in industrial sector. Problems encountered in columns when applied in heavy and coarser particles notation are mainly with its wash-water distributor, fine bubble generators and choking in the tailing outlet. In laboratory and pilot scale experiments, attempts were made to solve these problems by introducing a specific type of wash-water system, internal sparger and a tailing withdrawing device dispensing with tailings pump. The results of these investigations have been discussed in this paper. |
