dc.description.abstract Allylation of a variety of carbonyl compounds with allylic halides could be induced by Cu(II)-Mg to give corresponding homoallylic alcohols with high chemoselectivity. Cu(II)Mg/THF-H2O was found to be an efficient reduction system of aldehyde to alcohol.
