dc.description.abstract Silicon carbide in the form of powder was prepared from boiler burnt rice husk in a new type of packed bed are reactor where the raw materials were processed in briquette form, X-ray diffraction analysis identified the presence of both beta and alpha SiC. Microstructural characterization revealed the presence of triangular, truncated triangular, and hexagonal crystallites, along with platelets.
