dc.description.abstract Galvanic interactions between sphalerite and manganese dioxide in sulphuric acid medium have been investigated through measurement of self-corrosion potential as well as mixed potentials of these two mineral electrodes and the galvanic current between them by employing a dual cell set up. Low overpotential data obtained from the same studies are also used to clucidale the process. Leaching studies were carried out to understand the galvanic interaction mechanisms.
