Igniting Curiosity: Jigyasa Program at CSIR-IMMT

Abstract

The publication “Igniting Curiosity – JIGYASA Program at CSIR-IMMT” presents a compilation of outreach and engagement activities carried out by the institute since 2023 under the CSIR-JIGYASA initiative. It showcases laboratory visits, student–scientist interactions, science demonstrations, internships, competitions, awareness programs on emerging technologies, and special celebrations of important scientific days. The booklet also records inclusive efforts such as mentoring rural and tribal schools, establishing Jigyasa Garden and Cabin Lab, and launching mobile outreach platforms like Vigyan Rath. Serving as both a record and a source of inspiration, the compilation highlights CSIR-IMMT’s commitment to fostering scientific curiosity, creativity, and innovation among school students, thereby contributing to the development of a scientifically aware society.
