| dc.description.abstract |
Metal finishing and plating industries generate toxic effluents containing costly chemicals like nickel, zinc, copper etc. Using ion exchange technique inplant recovery of such chemicals not only solves the pollution problem but also a source of revenue, for small scale industries. Economics of such a central recovery system is worked out. A return on investment of 25.6 per cent is possible with an investment of about Rs 5 lakhs to create such a facility. |
