| dc.description.abstract |
A method of preparation of calcia partially stabilised zirconia using a dc plasma is presented. An ingenious extended arc dc plasma reactor (20 kW) is used for plasma treatment of premixed oxides to yield stabilised zirconia. The phases were found to be predominantly cubic (80%), balance monoclinic. The microstructure reveals a uniform distribution of monoclinic precipitates (0.1-0.2-mu-m) within cubic grains (1-2-mu-m). |
