dc.description.abstract Bacteria Fe2(SO4)3 percolation leaching was carried out in 12 kg containing columns. Initially the crushed ore was washed with H2SO4 in order to remove acid-consuming gangue minerals. Optimum conditions were established for acid washing. After acid washing, the percolation leaching of column was carried out with acidified Fe2(SO4)3 bacterial solution supplied by Bacterial Film Oxidation Unit (BACFOX). Various leaching parameters were studied such as variation of Fe(III), flow-rate of the lixiviant, and the particle sizes of the ore. Leaching results were interpreted kinetically and various correlation factors were evaluated.
