dc.description.abstract Last decade has seen an explosion in the exploration of two-dimensional materials for optoelectronic applications owing to their novel optical and electronic properties. However, these materials, in general, are poor light absorbers with restricted spectral responsivity which limits their efficiency. Integration of these two-dimensional materials with each other and with plasmonic metal nanostructures enhances their light absorption efficiency and also influence the electronic properties. This review highlights the optical and electronic properties of two-dimensional materials integrated with other plasmonic two- dimensional materials or with plasmonic metal nanostructures. In addition, an overview of the optoelectronic properties of plasmonic nanostructure integrated two-dimensional heterostructures is also presented.
