dc.description.abstract Generic synthesis of nanocrystals of TiO(2), ZrO(2) and V(2)O(5) under ambient conditions at room temperature is presented. For the first time, it employs a water-octyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside-ethylene glycol diethyl ether based microemulsion and a unique set of glycolate precursors.
