dc.description.abstract Semicarbazones, Phenyl hydrazones, 2,4-DNP and Oxime derivatives are converted into corresponding carbonyl compounds, mostly in quantitative yield by stannous chloride-silica gel. This has general application to various nitrogeneous derivatives.
